Dawn to Dusk Enduro
6 hour, 12 hour and 24 hour races, plus a youth race on the Saturday morning.
With classes to suit all riders from youth through to pro’s and a range of “races within a race”, there’s something to challenge everyone.
Held once again at the awesome Walters Arena in South Wales, the organizers have set out to provide a course that is both challenging and rewarding in equal measure.
The event is open to all riders over the age of 16, plus a special 2 hour youth enduro event this year (10-16) held on the Saturday.
Teams may be up to 4 riders depending what race you’re in, while there’s a Marathon class for individuals who ride the whole event on their own (Marathon riders can have more then one bike).
The exception is Pro-Riders for the 12 or 24 hour events, who can have no more than 2 Riders in a team (but can also have more than 1 bike each).
The races consist of:
24hr 1 to 4 Riders
12hr 1 to 3 riders
6hr 1 or 2 riders
2hr Youth race 1 rider
Each team member can ride their own bike, or teams can share bikes within their team.
Following a Le Mans style start for each event, the course will take riders along an initial 6 mile lap (during the hours of darkness for the 24 hour event), then at dawn a 15 to 18 mile lap will be opened to combine with the 12 hour and 6 hour events.
The course is designed to flow through forest trails, gravel tracks and pure ‘off road’ sections and is run entirely on private land.
There will also be alternative (slightly longer) routes available as an option for avoiding the more technical / extreme sections.
Last year over 500 riders took part, the organizers are hoping for a similar turnout this year.
