OK, so I rode the 2CT's for around 150mi this weekend, and here are my preliminary opinions. Firstly, I think they really are just a street tire. If you take them to the track and ride really hard, you will probably destroy the shoulders. I only rode about 20 hard miles, and I have a little melting on the sidewall. Having said that, I felt incredibly confident with the bike leaned way over. After they were scrubbed in, I ripped a few fast sweepers and had it way over on the shoulders, and even on some uneven and bumpy sections they felt completely stuck to the ground.
We'll have to see how they do if I ever get them on the track. No doubt they'd perform better than anything, but I think you'll have to have deep pockets because I think they'll get destroyed by one day of serious abuse. If you're a moderate rider, you'll be fine. But, if you really do ride hard, I'd probably stick with the regular Powers unless you don't mind changing the rear after 2 track days.
Thats my . I'm going to have them on the street, so I don't regret spending the extra $30 over the regular Powers.
