Artejant pirmajam etapui Losail GP, kuris vyks nakties metu local time, Ducati komanda atrodo itin pozityviai nusiteikusi geram sezono startui:

Casey Stoner and his Ducati Marlboro colleagues return to the scene of some of their most successful races this weekend, beginning their quest for a second MotoGP world title at the track at which they have won the past two editions of the Commercialbank Grand Prix of Qatar.

"“I’m leaving behind the end of the summer holidays in Australia but to tell you the truth I really can’t wait for the new season to start. I’m really pleased with the progress we’ve made together with the Ducati engineers behind the scenes and with the tests we’ve done out on the track,” says Stoner ahead of race one.

“Everybody has worked really hard, the bike has improved in a variety of areas and it’s much easier to ride. The power delivery from the engine is better, the carbon frame has improved stability and I’m happy with the carbon swingarm too, even though we have only tried it in the last two tests and it still needs a little more work before we full understand it. So testing has been positive but we know that racing is another story and we simply cannot afford to drop our guard at any point – we have to keep working hard to make sure we don’t make the same mistakes as last season, which we went into with too much confidence.”

While this is a lot of top class starts - only the "old men" in Rossi (118), Capirossi (112), Edwards (102) and Gibernau (154) have more (surprisingly Gibernau is the one with the most and sat out the last 2 years!)

Melandri isnt far behind - 97

But what is interesting is that most of the other guys in MotoGP has more GP races across all classes - Melandri, Stoner, Pedrosa, Elias, de Puniet, Dovizioso, de Angelis, Lorenzo and even Kallio.
Toseland and Vermulen dont - came from superbike background.
Even Takahashi has 66 GP races.
So you got to feel for Canepa on the Ducati. While he has been a test rider he is a total GP rookie. The next least experienced I think is Toseland - if you can call 7 years of world superbike and one world title inexperienced....

Tiesa siek tiek nustebau kad nepabego Stonerys +15sec i prieki, ir didesne laiko dali vaziavo Rossis per daug neatsilikdamas, taciau finale Ducati-Stoner kombinacijos pranasumas cia kaip ir pries tai du kartus, buvo geriausias.

Taciau YamaM1Vale kombinacija padare akivaizdu progresa nuo praeitu metu, jeigu ziureti butent sita trasa ir sita naktini vaziavima. Idomu bus ziureti kas desis kituose etapuose, ar panasiai kaip praeitais metais ar kitaip. Laukia idomus sezonas.
